History
In southwestern Kentucky
in the Pennyrile Region,
adjacent to the Fort Campbell Military Reservation,
Christian County was formed in 1797 from
Logan County. Its county seat,
Hopkinsville, is on
US-68 about 190 miles SSW of Lexington. Christian is bordered by the
Kentucky counties of
Trigg, Caldwell, Hopkins, Muhlenberg and Todd, and by the Tennessee counties of
Montgomery and Stewart.
