White County

County History and Geography

In Central Arkansas, White County was formed in 1835 from Pulaski, Jackson and Independence County. Searcy, its county seat, is on US-67, about 45 miles NE of Little Rock. White is bordered by the counties of Independence, Jackson, Woodruff, Prairie, Lonoke, Faulkner and Cleburne.
