Main Street Mural
Showing Culpepper Drug Store
In 1881 Pine Bluff, Jefferson Co., Arkansas

Pine Bluff, Arkansas has dozens of buildings in the downtown area decorated with
murals. The photo below is of a mural featuring the Main Street of old Pine Bluff as it
was in 1881. The Culpepper City Drugstore is featured along with the cotton wagon and
dusty street.

Surveying the past
LOOKING BACK William Lum of Township Builders looks as though he has stepped into
the past Monday (16 May 1994) as he peers through a level at the site of a park at Third
and Main streets in Pine Bluff. Actually, he's standing in front of a mural, painted on
the side of a building, that depicts Main Street in 1881.
