Obituary*16 Aug 1999 Robert Benjamin Culpepper, age 78, of Pell City, AL died August 15, l999 at a local hospital. He was a health officer at St. Clair County Health Department for 25 years. He was a member of Eden United Methodist Church. He was a native of Valley Head, AL and a longtime resident of Pell City. He served in the U.S. Marines during WW II and the Korean Conflict. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 17, l999 at 11 a.m., the Rev. Bill Bryant officiating at the Chapel of Kilgroe Funeral Home. Burial will be at St. Clair Memorial Gardens. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Venice D. Culpepper; two daughters, Melinda Culpepper Smith of Birmingham, AL and Sandra S. (Culpepper) Butler of Birmingham, AL; one son, Robert M. Culpepper of Birmingham, AL; sister, Willadean Searcy of Chattanooga, TN; and brother, L. D. ''Pat'' Culpepper of Pell City, AL; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Kilgroe Funeral Home Pell City directing.2
