Sherman named 2 sons (Richard B and Sherman B) for his uncle Bennett, whom I understand wrote an unpublished math text. Our family stories have it that Louisa Nance Bullock benefited from a Revolutionary war commission land grant from her grandfather, and that was the farm in Maysville. Also, I have learned that her children who were orphaned when the father dies and she re-married, won a lot (lot 99, district 5 , Wilkinson Co 1805 lottery) yet the census reports no Sims in subsequent years. Maybe a swap??"3
