John Swents, 150 acres (location not specified). Grant Book M, page 120. Since this grant was made only 11 years after the date of birth for the John Swint on this page, either we are wrong about John's date of birth or else the two Johns are different people.6

Biography* The Paynes were located "on Persimmon Creek" while Mathew Wood lived "in the village" (Greenville). Mathew is reputed to be a son of Abraham Wood. One A. R. Wood was a witness for James, son of John Swint, received an indigent pension. ("Butler County Reminsences" by J. W. Wade, 1874.)

          Lucy and Robert had a son, George MacLaurin Beck, b: October 9, 1855 in Warrenton, Warren County, GA, d: June 2, 1922 in Little Rock, Pulaski County, AR. He married Georgia Jennie Brown, b: 1864 in Clark County, AR, d: May 1917 in Wagoner, OK
               George and Georgia had a daughter Florence Stuart Beck, b: February 17, 1894 in Arkadelphia, Clark County, AR, d: May 14, 1965 in Little Rock, Pulaski County, AR.4
