His wife Mary and three of his children are associated with each other in Currituck County deeds, and with each other in their grandfather Peter Culpepper's will. Thomas Culpepper sold land "adjacent to Archibald Culpepper, dec'd" (Deed Bk 21-332), and brothers Stephen and John were also adjacent.
