(Joel Culpeppers Mexican War record states that he was 19 years old, had grey eyes, light hair, and a tan complexion. He was 5 feet, 6 and a half inches tall. He was born in Franklin County, IL. He enlisted April 16th, 1847, in Company E of the 14th Regiment.) 
Death*12 Oct 1847 He died at Mexico on 12 Oct 1847. 
Research note*13 Jun 2004 Joel is assumed to be a son of Joel Sr., but proof is lacking.
