Obituary*18 Dec 2008 CORDELE - Funeral services for John O. "Cotton" Culpepper, 91, of Cordele will be conducted Thursday, Dec. 18, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Hughes and Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery. Mr. Culpepper passed away Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008 at Crisp Regional Health and Rehab. A native of Crisp County, Mr. Culpepper was a retired mail carrier and a member of the First Baptist Church of Cordele. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, having served during World War II. Surviving him are two sons, Ernie and his wife Linda Culpepper of Cordele and Charles and his wife Mary Culpepper of Eatonton; four grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Hughes and Wright Funeral Home has charge of arrangements. The family will greet friends Thursday, Dec. 18 from 10 a.m. until time for the funeral.
