Resident of San Antonio 57 years, member of the Woodlawn United Methodist Church, Prospect Hill Lodge No. 1247 A. F. & A. M. 7 Scottish Rite Bodies and Alzafar Shrine. Mr. Culpepper founded the Culpepper cleaners in 1937 and operated it until retirement in 1970. Survivors: Wife, Mrs. Madge Culpepper, San Antonio; son, Richard A. Culpepper, Quihi, Texas; grandchildren, Ben Allen Culpepper, Jess Bryan Culpepper and Terri Ann Culpepper, all of Quihi, Texas; sister, Mrs. J. M. Anderson, Grand Prairie, Texas. Services 1 p.m. Monday, March 31, Roy Akers Funeral Chapels, Rev. Fred Armstrong & Rev. J. R. Hilliard, officiating. Interment Roselawn Memorial Park under the Auspicies of Prospect Hill Lodge No. 1247 A. F. & A. M. From Dorothy Roberts, in an 11 Jun 1999 e-mail, "Henry established a cleaning/pressing business in 1911 in San Antonio, Texas; it expanded to three large plants which are still in the family. His son (only child), Richard Allan Culpepper, lives in Quihi, Texas with wife, Nancy (nee Kosinski), and he and one son, Jess, daughter, Terri and her husband, work together in the family business. Richard's other son, Ben, is an attorney in San Antonio."
