The Guard on duty heard him groan and the guard got him back into the hospital In time. Joe's son, Kay, served in the Army in World War II. He married Ann Salmon and they have two daughters, Anna Kay and Coley. Anna married Gregory Hendrix and their infant son's name is John Winfield.
