     A Columbus resident for 55 years, she was born in Brantley, Ala., April 14, 1879, and was the daughter of the late Edmond B. and Sarah MORGAN CULPEPPER of Columbus.
     She was a member of Primitive Baptist Church of Phenix City.
     Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Ola KROPFF of Columbus, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Britton & Dobbs of Columbus.1

     Funeral for Mrs. Ola CULPEPPER KROPFF will be held at 3 p.m. today at the Striffler-Hamby Chapel with the Rev. Joel SMITH officiating. Burial will be in Patrick Cemetery.
     Pallbearers will be U. L. CAIN, George HANLION, Bud WARD, Marcus ROWE, George ROSS, Otis NOWLING and Robert MARTIN. Honorary pallbearers will be great-nephews.
     Survivors include five nieces, Mrs. Luther MILLER, Mrs. Jack LOLLAR, Mrs. Susie BROWN and Misses Dessie and Sally CULPEPPER, all of Columbus; and three nephews, Charlie CULPEPPER, Columbus; Ed CULPEPPER, Tex; and Jim GASTON, Fla.
     Mrs. KROPFF, 83 786 Turner Road, was born Aug. 2, 1881, in Brantley, Ala., a daughter of the late Edmond and Sarah MORGN CULPEPPER. She was the widow of Peter KROPFF.

Her untimely death was a source of deep grief to her relatives and friends.
     Mrs. GASTON is survived by her mother, Mrs. S. J. CULPEPPER, one son, James R. GASTON, one brother, John CULPEPPER and three sisters, Mrs. Lemma WEBB, Mrs. Ella CULPEPPER and Mrs. Ora CULPEPPER. The funeral services will be conducted from the home this afternoon at 1 o'clock by Elder J. W. BULLARD, following which the body will be taken by private conveyance to the Patrick cemetery five miles east of the city for interment.6

Obituary*28 Sep 1909 SUDDEN DEATH OF MRS. LENA WELCH:
Well Known Young Matron Died Before Aid Could Reach Her.
     Mrs. Lena WELCH, the wife of Mr. J. T. WELCH, died very suddenly at her home, 1317 Eleventh avenue, yesterday morning at 8 o'clock. Mrs. WELCH had just finished eating breakfast. She repaired to her bedroom, and not returning in a reasonable time, her husband went in search of her and found her lying on the floor. Before he was able to lift her to a couch she was dead.
     Mrs. WELCH was only 21 years of age and was well known in the neighborhood in which she lived. She was a young woman of many fine traits of character, and her death will cast a shadow over many homes in the community. She had been married only about eight months.
     Besides her husband, she is survived by her mother, Mrs. S. J. CULPEPPER, and also by one brother and four sisters, all of whom reside in this city.
     The funeral will take place from the late residence this morning at 9 o'clock, the services being conducted by the Rev. Harry B. ALLEN, and the interment will be in the Patrick burying ground, five miles east of the city.6

     Mattie Lee Culpepper, 91, of 2010 Warm Springs Road, Columbus, died Tuesday at Pine Manor Nursing Home. The funeral will be 4 p.m. Thursday at McMullen Mortuary, with burial in Parkhill Cemetery, Columbus. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Culpepper was born 1 Sep 1904, in Augusta, Ga., daughter of Ben Franklin and Rosie Ella Ford Cates. A resident of Columbus for most of her life, she retired as a spinner from Eagle and Phenix Mills, was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the widow of Charlie W. Culpepper. COLUMBUS, GA -- Charlie Wendell Culpepper, 76, of Columbus, GA, died Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at the Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 5, 2008 at Edgewood Baptist Church with Reverend David Howle and Reverend Andy Merritt officiating. The following will serve as active pallbearers; Sonny Lollar, Luther Miller, Alan Coker, Steve Cosby, Ben Brantley, Dan Culpepper, Wayne Culpepper, and David Marlowe. A private interment will be in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA. Mr. Culpepper was born June 4, 1932 in Columbus, GA, son of the late Charlie Wilson Culpepper and the late Mattie Lee Cates Culpepper. Other than his parents, he was predeceased in death by his wife, Jean Parker Culpepper, his son, J.R. (Bobby) Culpepper. He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier and retired after 32 years. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church and the Tom Fluker Sunday School class. Survivors include his wife, Sybil Brantley Culpepper of Columbus, GA; daughter, Regena C. Bowden (Jimbo) of Phenix City, AL; two sons, Mark W. Culpepper (Dee) of Columbus, GA, Greg Culpepper (Tracy) of Phenix City, AL; four brothers, Donnie Culpepper (Pat) of Columbus, GA, Daniel Culpepper (Flora) of Columbus, GA, Lavon Culpepper (Lelia) of Columbus, GA, and Thomas Culpepper of Houston, TX;, grandchildren, Leah Johnson (Joe) of LaGrange, GA, Jaime N. Matthews of Phenix City, AL, Mary Ann Pierce of Smiths, AL, Erica Jean Culpepper of Phenix City, AL, Garrett Grace Culpepper of Columbus, GA, Charles Parker Culpepper of Phenix City, AL, and Emily A.
