A native of Chattahoochee County, Mrs. Rudeseal was a daughter of the late Clarence and Irene Applewhite Culpepper and was the widow of George Jackson Rudeseal. She was a homemaker. Services will be at 1 p.m. today in Old Toccoa Baptist Church cemetery. Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Benefield, Nashville, Ga., and Lynda Jones, Valdosta; a son, Isaac E. Rudeseal, Rome; two sisters, Reba Fowkes, Columbus, and Margaret Skipper, Phenix City, Ala; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. The family is at their respective residences. Acree-Davis Funeral Home, Toccoa, has charge of arrangements.11

     Mrs. Culpepper was born in Arkansas and lived in Midland before moving to Stephenville in 1963. She operated a family bakery before retiring. Mrs. Culpepper was a member of the Assembly of God in Stephenville. She was the widow of Ross Robert Culpepper.
     Survivors: Daughter, Bonnie Goddard of Stephenville; son, B.H. Culpepper of Blue Springs, Mo., brother, John Walters of Alma, Ark; sister, Lillie Goddard of Tyler; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Memorial service will be 2:30pm Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at First United Methodist Church, 301 SW Woods Chapel Rd, Blue Springs. Visitation will be one hour prior to service, at the church. Officiating the service will be Dr. Sally Haynes. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crossroads Hospice or to First United Methodist Church. Speck was born July 15, 1933 in El Dorado, Oklahoma to Ross and Lola Culpepper. He spent his young adult life in Texas. On September 3, 1977, he married Susan Conrad in Grandview, MO. Speck first worked after high school in the oil fields as a derrick man. After several years he went into sales, eventually retiring from American Tobacco. He was a member at First United Methodist Church. He was also an avid golfer, spending many days a week playing and working and Country Creek Golf Course after retirement. B.H. had five children. He is survived by his wife, Susan; children: Michael (Robyn) Culpepper, Gloria (Tom) LeBleu, Sandra Culpepper, and Matthew (Megen) Culpepper, son-in-law Phillip Coleman; sister, Bonnie Goddard; grandchildren: Ashley (Steven), Dustin (Eva), Chad, Casey, Tifni (Joe), Kilea, Connor, Michael, Pheldon, Stephanie, Aiden, and Owen; and seven great grandchildren with one on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Jennifer Coleman.7

She had three sisters that preceded her in death: LaMoyne Bass, Dephane "Daffy" Tabor, and VonDean Lawson. Agatha grew up in Midland and raised her family in Odessa. She was a member of Midland High School class of 1953 and a majorette for the Bulldog Band. Agatha married her high school sweetheart, B.H. "Speck" Culpepper, and had 4 children. She is survived by Mike "Cullie" Culpepper and Robyn of Burnet, Texas; Gloria Culpepper LeBleu and Tom of Lafayette, Louisiana; Jennifer Culpepper Coleman and Phillip of San Angelo, Texas and Sandy Culpepper of Dallas, Texas. Agatha had 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She also counted the Bass kids (her nephews and niece) as her own: Vance, Gregg, Scott, Reed, and Linda Avery. "Ms. Cul" was beloved by all her children's friends and classmates. The house was always full of kids. She chaperoned Cotillion dances, band trips, Girl Scout meetings and events, and other impromptu occasions. As an avid Permian Panther fan, Agatha's Friday outfit of black slacks, black blouse, and a white stadium sweater, became a life-long uniform. It has been rumored that Agatha led numerous TP (toilet paper) outings. The family and close friends deny any responsibility. Agatha worked for and retired from Mobile Oil Company. She actively participated in and coordinated many of the Pegasus activities. Agatha was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority for 15+ years. She was also active with the Girl Scouts, even spending one summer cooking for the scouts at Camp Mitre Peak. Agatha will be remembered for her feisty spirit, quick wit, outgoing personality, and colorful story telling. She enjoyed music immensely and never turned down a chance to sing. Determined to give her children a foundation in music, she baked goods and ironed clothes in exchange for the Culpepper kids' piano lessons. Please join us in the Celebration of Life for Agatha at Ellis Funeral Home in Midland on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 1:00 pm.2
