Obituary*30 Aug 2012 A memorial service for Jesse C. Culpepper, 80, of Tyler will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, in the chapel of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home with Sheila Gray officiating.
     Jesse was born June 12, 1932, in Noonday to the late Robert L. and Thelma Cone Culpepper and passed away on Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, in Tyler. He graduated from Tyler High and served his country while in the United States Navy in the Korean War. Jesse retired from Loomis Armored and was a member of the Noonday Baptist Church.
     Jesse is survived by his loving wife of two years, Joyce Loftis Culpepper of Tyler; stepson, Eric Ballard and his wife Katie of Frisco; stepgrandchildren, Ethan, Adyson and Owen Ballard; a sister, Alma Barnes; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Linda Chesley and Karon and Dick Gilmore; aunts, Margie Tomlinson, Ina Hope McKay and Thea Dean; and several nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
     Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 30, 2012, at the funeral home.2

Lenton Speer of the Marquez Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
     Mrs. Baker died Saturday (April 12, 2003) at her home. She was born in Dallas and lived in Hilltop Lakes for more than 30 years. She was retired after 25 years as a Realtor. She graduated from Incarnate Word Academy in San Antonio and attended Lee College in Baytown. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi of Hilltop Lakes and was creator of Arts & Crafts by Cynthia. She was a Baptist.
     Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert Lee Baker of Virginia Beach, Va., and Steven Michael and Kathy Baker of Sugar Land; a daughter, Laurie Cummins of Kansas City, Mo; a sister and brother-in-law, E. Cecilia and Jim Tinkler of Houston; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.7 
Burial*15 Apr 2003 Her body was interred on 15 Apr 2003 at Hopewell Cemetery, Normangee, Leon Co., Texas.7
