History

In the south central part of Kentucky's Pennyrile Region, Warren County was formed in 1796 from Logan County. Its county seat, Bowling Green, is on I-65 about 140 miles southwest of Lexington and 50 miles north of Nashville. Warren is bordered by the counties of Butler, Edmonson, Barren, Allen, Simpson and Logan.

Perhaps this street was named in honor of the noted Methodist evangelist, Oscar Burke Culpepper, who died in Bowling Green in 1948.
