Peach County
History
In the Upper
Coastal Plains Region of Georgia,
Peach County was formed in 1924 from
the northwestern part of Houston County. Its county seat,
Fort Valley, is on
US-341 about 105 miles south of Atlanta and 25 miles southwest of Macon. Peach is bordered by the counties of
Crawford, Bibb,
Houston and Macon.
