Colquitt County
History
In the Upper
Coastal Plains Region of Georgia,
Colquitt County was formed in
1856 from Lowndes and Thomas
Counties. Its county seat,
Moultrie, is on
US-319 about 210 miles south of Atlanta and 75 miles northwest of Tallahassee, FL. Colquitt is bordered by the counties of
Worth, Tift,
Cook, Brooks, Thomas and
Mitchell.

to Hinsonton, GA. Turn right on Hinsonton Rd. Stay on Hinsonton Rd. until you
get to the Mitchell County Line Rd. Turn right, then go for about ¼ mile
looking to your right, you will see a Gregory Family Cemetery marker. The
driveway is right next to the marker. It is hard to find as it is not kept
very well..
